The Joomla Jobs Network was founded in 2006 by Design Guru, a Toronto-based web production firm and think-tank who work exclusively with Open Source software and publish a blog called Why Joomla?

We were sick and tired of both job hunting through bloated services like monster and scouring the web for like-minded Open Source CMS professionals and thought it would be great to bring everyone working with Joomla onto a single, simple site.
