3 phases of development. All statements apply to Joomla 1.5. Detailed design document will be made available as it is completed.

Phase 1 :

Native component to allow users to load a spreadsheet. If spreadsheet is valid, the data will be uploaded into the db (extended joomla db tables or custom tables). This data will then be displayed in a table view within the Joomla framework.
Component should use CSS from the template that is loaded \ used.

Phase2 :

Take the uploaded file, execute logic (will be provided at a later stage) present the results of the logical evaluation in table format and graphical format within the joomla framework.

Due to complexity of the logic at hand, it may be worth our while to split the coding of the business logic into two parts. Therefore phase three

Phase 3 :

Execute remainder of the logic.

For both phase two and three, it is necessary to be able to produce both emails and pdf that are properly formatted.
