We require our current 1.1.x install to be migrated to the newer (and arguably better) 1.5.x install. We would do it ourselves, but are a little concerned that things aren't messed up. Migrating this successfully and professionally will open up a probable number of other customizations/module integrations for the future. We're a rapidly expanding site, and we're looking to work with just one developer long term.
